Internship Overview:
The intern will work daily with underwriters and underwriting associates, assisting with various tasks associated with the lifecycle of an account. They will also meet with our back-office support team and possibly visit our offices in NYC and ATL. Our goal is to provide the intern with a deeper understanding of underwriting within the Environmental E&S space and offer insight into pursuing a career within the insurance industry.
Essential Duties:
- Submission Clearance
- Issuance Preparation for all accounts
- Policy Issuance as needed
- Assist with the issuance of NOCs and NORs
- Process Binders/Endorsements as needed
- Special Projects as assigned
Competencies:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to be a team player and respond quickly to team requests
- Customer service skills and the ability to interact via phone and email with a wide variety of people
- Open to learning about the insurance industry
